Nicole Kennedy

I graduated with my M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Prior to this, I worked as a teacher for 5 years and have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. Today, I incorporate my knowledge of human development and social-emotional learning from my previous career with my understanding of mental health to assist individuals and families of all ages through psychotherapy.

Clinically, I have received training in relational, psychodynamic, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I am currently working for the private practice of Orenda Family Therapy Services. I am also a Core Clinician and Clinical Team Lead with Camden Center, helping to develop their Eating Disorder track for IOP/PHP level of care.

I previously worked as a program therapist at Reasons Eating Disorder Treatment Center in both their inpatient hospital setting and their virtual intensive out patient/partial hospitalization program. While in graduate school, I trained and worked as a counselor at the Southern California Counseling Center.

 

I have experience working with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, grief, codependency, identity, self-esteem and trauma. I trained under a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and have a passion for working with eating disorders in my own practice.

Originally from the East Coast, I have lived in Los Angeles since 2015. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing with my dog and cooking. I am currently providing sessions via Telehealth and in person.
